The Potters’ Guild Sale
 |
Saturday morning: the June sale of the Ann Arbor Potters’ Guild. |
 |
Our favorite artist: Maki Lin. |
 |
We bought two new plates (similar to ones we have already). |
Along the Huron River
 |
We don’t understand this “sculpture” — here’s another one in a different park. Anyone know its real purpose? |
 |
Along the path is a plaza celebrating the history of local women in sports for the past 50 years. |
 |
We always enjoy watching the canoes and kayaks making their way down the Huron River. |
Beautiful Weather But with Some Smoke
 |
In spite of poor air quality, we have been eating in our garden. |
Contemplation: “A Child’s Garden of Verses”
The Swing
HOW do you like to go up in a swing,
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!
Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
Rivers and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside—
Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown—
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!”
